MONUMENT — A Kansas man has died after plowing into an asphalt roller in a construction zone on Interstate 25.
The accident at about 2:30 a.m. Monday also injured a 71-year-old construction worker.
The Colorado State Patrol said the unnamed 20-year-old Kansas man was driving a Volkswagen when he drove into the roller. Workers are using the roller to repave a stretch of road north of Colorado Springs.
