LOS ANGELES — “Entertainment Tonight” reported Monday that former “Tonight Show” sidekick Ed McMahon, who died last week at age 86, was honored by 200 friends, loved ones and admirers at a memorial service Sunday at the Church of the Hills at Forest Lawn Memorial Parks and Mortuaries in the Hollywood Hills.
Singers Natalie Cole and David Foster joined harmonies on Cole’s tune “Smile.” Foster also performed a duet with “Star Search” champ Nita Whitaker. McMahon’s wife, Pam, and his children and grandchildren shared words and sentiments.
The service, which ended with a standing ovation, also featured Tony Danza, Jimmy Kimmel, and Johnny Carson’s widow, Joanna Carson, the show reported.
