A man who led police on a high-speed chase through LoDo last week has died of injuries he suffered when he crashed a stolen motorcycle.
Robert Lee Palmer, 35, of Westminster died at 5:52 p.m. Monday at Denver Health Medical Center, according to the Adams County Coroner’s Office.
Officials say Palmer was driving a stolen pickup truck before he ditched it and stole a motorcycle. He led officers from several law-enforcement agencies on a chase June 24 that ended when he crashed in Adams County, police said.
A portion of the pursuit ran through crowded LoDo at about 11 p.m. and included Palmer jumping curbs and driving down sidewalks in the pickup truck as he tried to shake police.
At least two parked cars were struck in LoDo.
After fleeing Denver, Palmer stole a motorcycle and crashed it at East 78th Place and Grant Street in Adams County, police said.
