The Colorado Wildlife Commission will finalize regulations pertaining to habitat stamp and game damage regulations at its 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. meeting Thursday at the Hilton Fort Collins, 425 W. Prospect Road. The rules body also will hear staff recommendations on the five-year big game season structure.
Under the revision, habitat stamps no longer are required to enter a state wildlife area. However, hunters and fishermen are required to purchase a $5 stamp for each of the first two licenses obtained, up to a total of $10.
The commission also will consider a regulation to extend the Eastern Plains pheasant and southeast Colorado quail season through Jan. 31 annually. And it will consider a change to allow more than three shells during the light goose conservation season.
Constituents may listen to the meeting through the DOW website. To hear live audio, check the “listen to audio” link on the Wildlife Commission’s page.
