DENVER—Colorado officials are trying to make sure businesses know how to get stimulus contracts.
The state is putting on a business fair Tuesday for small businesses and minority- and women-owned firms that want to know how to receive some of the $3 billion Colorado is due to receive in stimulus spending in coming years.
Gov. Bill Ritter plans to address about 300 business owners at the Denver meeting at the Tivoli Student Union on the Auraria college campus in Denver. Last month, Colorado hired the nation’s first minority outreach coordinator specifically focusing on stimulus contracts.
