MODESTO, Calif. — The family of convicted killer Scott Peterson is asking the public to contribute money to his appeal. In a blog posting, the family says it needs $95,000 to help cover the cost of an investigation needed to overturn his 2003 conviction for murdering his pregnant wife, Laci.
