COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Crew extended its home unbeaten streak to a Major League Soccer record-tying 18 games as Jason Garey scored twice for the Crew in a 3-1 victory over Real Salt Lake on Saturday night.
Steven Lenhart also scored for Columbus, which improved to 12-0-6 during its run at Crew Stadium. The streak matches San Jose’s MLS mark, set in 2004 and 2005.
Raphael Cox scored his first career goal for Real Salt Lake, which had its five-game unbeaten streak snapped.

Patrick Nyarko, starting in place of forward Brian McBride, scored his third goal of the season for Chicago.
