GRAND JUNCTION — Grand Junction residents could miss out on the city’s annual spring cleanup and see less road maintenance next year because of declining city revenues.
City officials are considering suspending chip-seal road maintenance and the spring cleanup program, which allows residents to dispose of larger trash items at no additional charge. Residents might also see shorter business hours in some city departments and other service cutbacks. Tax revenues through June were down 14 percent, dropping to $25 million from $29.2 million.
