A World War II-era single-engine airplane with two people aboard made an emergency landing in an open field Saturday, north of Castle Rock.
A South Metro Fire Department dispatcher said there were no injuries or damage to the plane following the 10:20 a.m. mishap.
Brian Lewis, director of flight operations at Centennial Airport, said the plane was a North American T-6 Texan. The plane was used by the U.S. and Britain to train fighter pilots during the war.
