The University of Denver has hired Denver Outlaws defensive coordinator Trevor Tierney as an assistant coach for the men’s lacrosse team.
Tierney, a former Princeton star, will be joining a staff led by his father, new Pioneers head coach Bill Tierney, and assistant coach Matt Brown.
Trevor Tierney was acquired by the Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse in 2006 and represented them in the MLL All-Star Game twice.
He joined the Outlaws’ coaching staff in 2008.
