Taxi trips from three metro area locales and Denver International Airport will increase Thursday, July 30, 2009, according to fare hikes recently approved by the Colorado Public Utilities Commission.
Non-metered fares between DIA and downtown Denver will rise from $43 to $51; DIA and the Denver Tech Center will go from $45 to $57; and DIA and Boulder, $70 to $84.
Applicable airport-gate fees may be added to the flat fare.
Under PUC rules, metro-area taxi companies are required to offer uniform, non-metered fare for trips between the airport and the three zones. The non-metered rates have not changed since 1999.
