Wall-to-wall music blanketed the Broadway corridor July 23-26 as the ninth annual Denver Post Underground Music Showcase, presented by Floyd’s 99 Barbershops, took over 20 indoor and outdoor venues in Denver’s Baker district last week. The UMS gave thousands of local music fans a chance to catch 200 local and national bands, DJs and comedians of every stripe, from triumphant sets from Denver’s Widowers and Taun Taun to delicate indie-folk from North Carolina’s Bowerbirds and power pop from Ohio’s Smug Brothers.
