DENVER—The recall of about 826,000 pounds of ground beef that might be linked to at least 21 salmonella cases in Colorado is being expanded to include a second store.

State health officials said Friday the recall of beef distributed by Beef Packers Inc. in Fresno, Calif., now includes beef sold at Colorado Sam’s Clubs. Officials previously said that a majority of those with confirmed illnesses bought the beef at Safeway stores.

The meat sold at the Sam’s Clubs has the original Beef Packers’ use-by dates of July 6 and 8 and was 90 percent lean.

The beef was produced from June 5 through June 23 and has “EST.31913” printed on the case code labels.
