A 7-year-old Littleton boy who was severely burned after accidentally igniting a condominium fire while playing with a lighter has died.

Logan Miles died Thursday at the Shriners Hospitals for Children of Northern California, in Sacramento, before a scheduled surgery, according to a statement by his family on a website.

Logan suffered burns over 80 percent of his body July 17 in a fire at his home at 9187 W. Phillips Drive.

He was treated at the California hospital because it specializes in pediatric burns.

A fund to assist the Miles family with medical expenses has been established at Wells Fargo Bank in the name of Bernadette Gusich for the Benefit of Logan Miles and Family.
