Despite what was printed in another publication, Forza Fitness & Performance, the gym inside the Ritz-Carlton, is not in foreclosure.

The confusion likely stems from the fact that Transwestern Mezzanine Realty Partners III LLC of Chicago filed a suit last month against Ritz-Carlton owner CJS Hotel LLC saying CJS hasn’t paid $9 million plus interest and charges due on a $20 million mezzanine (or bridge) loan.

The staff changes at Forza — a club whose investors include Mike Arthur, former head of business operations for the Nuggets, Avalanche and Rockies; his brother-in-law Steve Hess, Nuggets strength and conditioning coach; Nuggets superstar Carmelo Anthony; and Minnesota Timberwolves forward (and former Nugget) Greg Buckner — likely added to the confusion.

Arthur, who was responsible for overall daily operations, no longer is running the place, and 24 Hour Fitness veteran Erin Addesso has taken over as general manager.

“A few people went to the Colorado Athletic Club, and I brought some new people in,” Addesso said.

The membership — prices range from $59 to $125 a month, depending on the length of the contract and what days you use the facility — stands at about 1,200. Addesso said she’d like to see the number rise to about 1,500.

New this month is the addition of healthy meals created by Anthony’s personal chef, Daniel “Chef D” Young. Members can meet with a trainer and dietician, and Young will make meals with 300 to 550 calories.

“The caloric count and carbs, fats and proteins are all broken down,” Addesso said.

Name game.

What were they thinking? I couldn’t help needling PR guy Marty Jones after he sent a press release about the upcoming Longmont restaurant Oskar Blues Homemade Liquids & Solids.

As one pal put it, it sounds like a sewage-treatment plant.

The hard-to-offend Jones answered, “For the record, we’ll serve great beer and food. No sewage. We have a Code of Antics we try to honor with all of our efforts, and it includes a few criteria: Does it make us laugh? Does it challenge us and our audience a good bit? Does it bring joy to our little world and make it a better place?”

You be the judge.

Good golf.

Golf has named City Park Golf Course the best public golf course in the state.

City Park got the top nod by using a combination of star ratings from Golf Digest’s best- places-to-play and best-in-state rankings.

The 18-hole golf course includes a junior course, a pro shop and the restaurant Bogey’s on the Park.

Eavesdropping.

A man at North restaurant: “I wish my BlackBerry had a Breathalyzer.”

Cowgirl up.

“Saturday Night Live” alum Victoria Jackson found her inner cowgirl at Rockmount Ranch Wear, the LoDo institution known for creating snap-front Western shirts.

On Friday, the blond and bubbly actress shopped at Rockmount during her Comedy Works South tour last week.

“Thanks to your store, I changed my image and became a cowgirl,” she told owner Steve Weil, who reports that Jackson’s show was “amazing.”
