FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Democratic Rep. Betsy Markey will hold 11 public meetings on health care during the rest of the congressional recess.
The meetings start Tuesday in Fort Collins and are held almost every day until a Sept. 3 meeting in Estes Park.
Markey has been criticized by some conservatives in her district for not holding meetings on health care. One Republican trying to unseat her even held his own, a telephone town hall by state Rep. Cory Gardner of Yuma.
Markey said her town halls would be “frank and constructive.” Ten of the meetings will be in person, with one telephone town hall.
