Brides whose dresses, at least, have been jilted by a Colorado bridal shop are finding no one wants to see a bride without a gown.
The 77 brides who have filed complaints they were left without a dress when Mountain Avenue Bridal abruptly closed its doors this week have been inundated with offers for free dresses. The brides’ plight was reported nationally, and brides tell the Coloradoan newspaper that they’ve been flooded with offers for gowns from other bridal shops and even strangers.
Offers have come from as far away as Massachusetts and North Carolina. The brides also are getting some emergency gowns from a Las Vegas bridal and events company that collects used gowns for charity.
