AURORA — A petition that would have let Aurora voters decide whether to require police officers to seize cars driven by unlicensed drivers has been ruled invalid.

The petition had 5,278 signatures but did not include the full text of the proposed measure, as required, a judge ruled.

The Aurora City Council could still vote to put the measure on the ballot. Denver voters have already approved a similar measure.
