GREELEY, Colo.—A national effort to rally against proposed climate change legislation is headed to Greeley.
The Tuesday rally will oppose a bill that would set the nation’s first caps on greenhouse gas emissions. The measure narrowly passed the House in June, with the support of Democratic Rep. Betsy Markey, whose district includes Greeley.
The rally is put together by the American Petroleum Institute, which opposes the bill. It is one of 22 planned across the country during the congressional recess.
