A construction crew works on the facade of a movie theater Monday at the Streets of SouthGlenn, the shopping center that was built to replace an enclosed mall at the same site that was closed 3 1/2 years ago.
The Streets at SouthGlenn complex officially opens Friday, with three days of activities that will include stilt walkers, live music, face painters, jugglers and human statues.
Located in Centennial at South University Boulevard and East Arapahoe Road, the $310 million, 77-acre mixed-use project comprises 1.2 million square feet of retail, 140,000 square feet of office space and 202 luxury apartments.
The Streets features national retail shops, local boutiques and restaurants and also is home to the Commons, an urban park with an antiqued brick fireplace, gardens and outdoor cafes. Karl Gehring, The Denver Post
