MONTPELIER, Vt. — Federal prosecutors announced Tuesday that they’ll seek the death penalty for a convicted sex offender charged with luring his 12-year-old niece to his home before molesting and strangling her.
Michael Jacques is accused of kidnapping and killing Brooke Bennett, whose body was found in a shallow grave in July 2008.
