Greg Proops is a rare blend in the comedy world, an accessible (if mischievous) stand-up who’s also a comedy connoisseur’s best friend. Devastatingly nimble and known for his improv work on “Whose Line Is It Anyway,” Proops is also a seasoned actor and radio host. He plays multiple sets today and Saturday at Comedy Works South at the Landmark. $28.
Yonder Mountain String Band formed around tiny Nederland more than a decade ago, but what a decade it’s been for the rootsy four-piece. Now the Colorado band is readying its new record, “The Show,” out Tuesday, and prepping for tonight’s headlining date at Red Rocks. $36.75-$39.75. .
