Mos Def proved himself a hip-hop Renaissance man in a performance that included spoken word, drumming, dancing, crooning Michael Jackson covers, and the politically conscience rap he’s become known for. The evening’s finale featured a Black Star reunion set, with Kweli and Mos Def joining forces. — Michael McGrath
