LINCOLN, Neb.—Nebraska coach Bo Pelini says he expects his Cornhuskers to begin turning in sharper practices as next Saturday’s opener against Florida Atlantic gets closer.

The Huskers practiced for two hours on Friday, and afterward Pelini gave a better evaluation of his team than he did earlier in the week, when he was visibly disappointed about their performances.

Pelini said there still is a lot to get fixed. He said he thinks the effort has been good but that the attention to detail needs to get better.

Pelini said Florida Atlantic should give the Huskers a good test. He said the Owls have good speed and skill on offense.
