Divas are known all too well for their outlandishly elitist behavior, capped off by their unforgettably weird diva moments.

Here are three of those, starting with Paula Abdul — the former “American Idol” judge who has been tapped to host the upcoming “VH1 Divas.”

Paula Abdul

Do you remember the interview? Yes, the interview — the one with Abdul slurring through a chat with a Seattle TV station in January 2007. After mumbling her way through a nonsensical interview about “Idol,” she wrapped things up by saying, “Any publicity is good publicity.” Um, sure.

Whitney Houston

“Being Bobby Brown” was an awful show. The short-lived Bravo reality program followed Brown, wife Whitney Houston and their children. And while it was truly awful, it was also packed with flinch- inducing moments spent wondering if Brown and Houston had any idea they were being videotaped. (They knew.)

At one point in the series, Houston was complaining of stomach cramps in the middle of a fancy dinner with her husband. After downing an Advil and rocking back and forth uncomfortably, Houston announced her intention to “do the doo.”

TMI, thank you very much.

Madonna

Remember when an irreverent and indignant Madonna took on David Letterman on his late-night talk show in 1994?

She asked him if he was wearing a toupee. She lit (and smoked) a cigar. She repeatedly used the same curse word, much to the chagrin of Letterman and an elderly couple in the audience.

“You used to be cool,” Madonna told Letterman. “Money’s made you soft. You just kiss up to everybody on your show.”

Letterman then asked her if she wanted him to suspend that behavior for the night.
