SAN FRANCISCO — The two U.S. television reporters imprisoned in North Korea for 4 1/2 months have described the circumstances surrounding their arrests.

In an article posted Tuesday on Current TV’s website, , Laura Ling and Euna Lee said they never intended to cross a frozen river into North Korea and were “firmly back” on Chinese soil when North Korean guards grabbed them.

North Korea last month pardoned the reporters for trespassing and other “hostile acts” after former President Bill Clinton visited Pyong yang on their behalf.
