Parker’s Robert Polk and Pueblo’s Mike Zaremba tied with a second-round low score of 68 at the Colorado Senior Open on Thursday, moving to within striking distance of the leader at Green Valley Ranch.
Polk and Zaremba, tied in third place at 5-under-par 139, trail co-leaders Joe Stansberry of Minneapolis and Curt Schnell of Milford, Iowa. The leaders are at 6-under 138. Stansberry, the defending champion, birdied four holes for a second-round 70. Schnell tied Polk and Zaremba with a 68 on Thursday.
Mammoth releases 2010 schedule.
The Colorado Mammoth will start its 2010 National Lacrosse League schedule Jan. 9, when the team travels to face the Washington Stealth.The Mammoth plays its home opener at Pepsi Center the following week, a Jan. 16 matchup with the Edmonton Rush.
CSU volleyball sweeps Ga. Southern.
Jacque Davisson had a match-high 10 kills and a service ace to lead the Colorado State volleyball team (2-2) to a 3-0 win over Georgia Southern (3-1) in the Rams’ opener of the Hilton Classic in Fort Collins.
