ASPEN, Colo.—Crowds were down more than a third this year at the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Festival.
The three-day festival drew about 23,800 people to see acts such as the Black Eyed Peas and The Allman Brothers Band.
Attendance was down from 36,600 concertgoers over a five-day period last year. It was the lowest attendance since 2006, when about 21,500 people attended.
The head of the festival, Jim Horowitz, says the festival has been shortened to three days, where it will likely remain. He says ticket sales were respectable given the poor economy.
