ALAMEDA, Calif. — The Raiders re-signed defensive tackle William Joseph on Thursday while Richard Seymour remained a no-show four days before Monday’s season opener against the Chargers.
Joseph was cut by the Raiders on Sunday after after the team acquired Seymour from New England in exchange for its first-round draft pick in 2011.
Trevor Scott, who tied for the Raiders lead in sacks as a rookie in 2008, will likely start at right defensive end if Seymour does not show up.
Lawyer might seek list of women from Roethlisberger
CARSON CITY, Nev. — The lawyer for a woman who is accusing Ben Roethlisberger of rape is prepared to ask a Nevada court to compel the Steelers quarterback to name all the women he has had sex with, court documents show.
Reno lawyer Cal Dunlap also said that if Roethlisberger’s request to waive court rules and speed up the evidence-gathering process is granted, he also should be given immediate access to the quarterback’s phone records, Internet communications and names of any women who have claimed improper sexual conduct by the two-time Super Bowl winner.
