U.S. airlines carried 6.2 percent fewer passengers in June than they did in June 2008, according to the U.S. Bureau of Transportation Statistics. It was the 15th consecutive month of passenger traffic declines.

In the report released Friday, domestic traffic was down 5.9 percent and international traffic fell 8.5 percent.
