T.J. Miller is our homegrown funny man actorand he’s on a roll.

Former “head boy” at East High, Miller, 28, has doing plenty of stand-up around here and the country. But when he’s not cracking wise, he’s getting funny in some movies, getting action in others.

I talked to him Thursday night. He’s in the boonies in Pennsylvania deep into filming the Tony Scott actioner “Unstoppable” with Denzel Washington.

He was the kid holding the video camera in last year’s teen monster hit “Cloverfield.” Then we saw him in the ABC flop “Carpoolers.” Miller agrees it wasn’t such a great show, but he loved his part. “People still yell ‘Hey, Marmaduke!’ at me,” he says.

He has a nice part in “Extract,” the Mike Judge comedy that opened last week.

He’s just back from London where he played scenes with Jack Black in the upcoming “Gulliver’s Travels.”

He also jumps out of a plane with Jeremy Piven in “The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard.”

And he was in Las Vegas this summer to appear in Judd Apatow’s “Get Him To the Greek.” He plays a Planet Hollywood concierge who deals drugs to Jonah Hill and Russell Brand (playing his character from “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”).

And then there’s all the stuff coming up with Comedy Central and “She’s Out of My League” and “How to Train Your Dragon”

And there’s more, but I’m running out of room for this item.

“It’s been up and down,” Miller says. “But it’s all mind-blowing.”

Action.

A gang is in Denver shooting “The Frankenstein Brothers” a coming-of-age flicker about twins who graduate from CU-Boulder and inherit the Left Hand Brewery. It stars Scott Paterson (“Gilmore Girls,” “Saw IV and V”), Alexandra Paul (“Baywatch”) Zelda Williams (Robin’s daughter) and Jayden Jaymes (porno star).

The crew moves into Bonnie Bangert’s Country Club digs Tuesday for a wedding scene. Other Denver locales include Shotgun Willie’s, Left Hand Brewery and Red Rocks.

In the loop.

Washington Post columnist Al Kamen let the cats out of the bag Wednesday when he wrote about the roster of Teddy Forstman’s annual Aspen getaway Sept. 24-27. The top secret list of attendees include: U.S. Secretary of Energy Steven Chu, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, Obama economic adviser Larry Summers, former president of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf and former Secretary of State Colin Powell. Charlie Rose will try not to interrupt as the moderator.

City spirit.
