Friday night’s Class A 8-man football game between Genoa-Hugo/Karval and Fowler was canceled. Fowler law enforcement ordered school personnel to vacate the stadium about 15 minutes before the 7 p.m. kickoff. Players, coaches, and fans were told to go the school gymnasium. The perimeter was declared “safe” less than an hour later. On Saturday, a Fowler area police spokesperson said the delay involved “executing a warrant.” An attempt was made to play Saturday, but Genoa-Hugo/Karval had a scheduling conflict.
