A group of northwest Denver residents will hold a twilight vigil at 7 p.m. Thursday near where a 72-year-old neighbor was hit by a car Monday morning as he walked his dog at West 26th Avenue and Raleigh Street.
Kenneth Huff was critically injured and continues to recover. Neighbors hope to raise awareness about the need for flashing lights at the intersection near Sloan’s Lake.
There is no light or crosswalk at there.
A Denver Public Works study this year, however, did not show a need for a traffic signal in the area.
