Cowboys fans pack ’em in
The opportunity to see an NFL game live for a mere $29 was too good for thousands of Cowboys fans to pass up.
Many Party Pass buyers showed up 10 hours before kickoff to claim a standing-room-only spot before Dallas played the New York Giants on Sunday in the first regular-season game at Jerry Jones’ new $1.15 billion showplace.
Fans were smart to show up early. By game time, the standing-room plazas were brimming with up to 30,000 Party Pass fans. The Cowboys never gave a more specific number of standing-room tickets sold, but they set the NFL regular- season attendance record with a crowd of 105,121. The previous mark was 103,467, for a game between Arizona and San Francisco in Mexico City in 2005.
