The Falcons return home after a two-game road swing in which they lost to Minnesota and knocked off New Mexico, winning their 10th straight league opener. Air Force is 10-4 all-time against the Aztecs at home. San Diego State is coming off a 34-20 loss at Idaho.

Key Matchup

San Diego State WR Vincent Brown vs. Air Force DB Reggie Rembert. Brown has turned in three straight 100-yard games to begin the season. He’s second in the nation, averaging 141 yards per game. Rembert returned last weekend after rejoining the team following a suspension for an unspecified violation of Academy standards. The junior has three interceptions in his career. He’s also an explosive special teams player, returning a kick 60 yards against New Mexico. He’s the school’s career leader in kickoff returns with 1,133 yards on 53 returns.

Players to watch

San Diego State: QB Ryan Lindley. The strong-armed quarterback has thrown for five touchdowns and four interceptions this season. He missed part of the game against Idaho after hurting a finger on his throwing hand. But Coach Brady Hoke didn’t think the injured digit would be an issue.

Air Force: RB Asher Clark. He lost the competition for the starting quarterback job to Tim Jefferson and was shifted over to tailback. He’s third in the conference in rushing, averaging 80.7 yards a game.
