Churchill is an impossibly good-looking band, but don’t hold that against the Denver-based act. The group produces a pop-indebted folk sound that’s satisfyingly concise and rollicking, particularly given its potential to be another bland entry in the madonlin-sporting, nü-bluegrass sweepstakes. The promising group will release its first CD at the Hi-Dive on Saturday, with Nebraska’s Eagle Seagull. $8. hi-dive.com

Paramore’s “Ignorance,” the acrobatic single from new album “Brand New Eyes,” has been taking the pop-punk act all over the country lately, including a stop at the Fillmore Auditorium on Sunday. Forget about the rarity of female- fronted rock acts; these Tennessee natives deserve kudos for a deepening lyrical maturity that’s setting them apart from the rest of the haircut androids. $27.50.

Note: Paramore’s show has been posted until Nov. 8 at the Fillmore due to a case of laryngitis for singer Hayley Williams. Tickets for all postponed dates will be honored at the rescheduled dates listed below. Refunds may also be claimed at point of purchase.

Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt are putting their guitars together for a pair of Front Range acoustic stops next week, starting Wednesday at Colorado Springs’ World Arena ($49.50-$65, ), followed by a Thursday show at CU-Boulder’s Macky Auditorium. $49.50-$99.50.
