First real stats
Last week against Tennessee Tech, Loveland High grad Collin Klein made his first start for Kansas State. A quarterback in high school, Klein was converted to wide receiver in the offseason, and the redshirt freshman had his first catch, an 8-yarder, against Tech. He also recovered a fumble by a fellow K-State receiver. At 6-feet-5, 231 pounds, Klein has played in every game this season but was used mainly as a blocker on running plays. Coach Bill Snyder told The (Manhattan) Mercury: “He has the size to match up well with a variety of cornerbacks you’re going to play against. He has good hands.” Look for Klein on Saturday when the Wildcats play Iowa State in Arrowhead Stadium.
