The program feature a look at Garland’s daily routines as an Air Force Academy senior, including segments in the classroom, doing homework, squadron routines and time spent on the practice field.
Hennings, the 1987 Outland Trophy winner, is part of the network’s “Armed Forces Appreciation Week” Saturday coverage.
In pregame ceremonies Saturday, Hennings will be presented with a U.S. flag that was sent from Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan.
In similar ceremonies later this season, former Army player and Heisman Trophy winner Pete Dawkins and Navy alumnus and Heisman Trophy winner Joe Bellino will be recognized.
“Ben Garland’s greatest strengths are his dedication and his heart,” Calhoun said. “Everything he does, he does with a ton of humility. He’s every bit the person we want to develop here at the academy. Chad Hennings was a great player and great person as well. They’re similar in many ways.”
