LINCOLN, Neb.—Nebraska nose tackle Ndamukong (en-DOM-uh-ken) Suh (SOO) has been named one of a dozen semifinalists for the Lombardi Award.

The award honors the best college offensive or defensive lineman who, in addition to his field performance, best exemplifies the discipline of coaching legend Vince Lombardi.

The winner will be announced Dec. 9.

The award voters are head coaches of NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision teams, all of the former winners and finalists for the Lombardi and some media members.

Four Nebraska players have won the Lombardi: Rich Glover in 1972, Dave Rimington in 1982, Dean Steinkuhler in 1983 and Grant Wistrom in 1997.

Suh also is on the Outland Trophy watch list.
