Texas A&M at Colorado, 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Fox College

For the record:Texas A&M (5-3, 2-2) leads only Baylor in the Big 12 South. Colorado (2-6, 1-3) is in last place in the North.

Streaking: The Aggies have found new life the past two weeks, with an impressive 52-30 win over then-No. 21 Texas Tech on the road on Oct. 24 and a 35-10 rout of Iowa State at home Saturday.

Who’s hot: A&M quarterback Jerrod Johnson threw three TD passes and ran for another as his offense dominated the Cyclones. Johnson is the third- ranked QB in the Big 12.

Who’s not: The Colorado offense is struggling, with just 23 total points in its last two games, both losses.

Key stat: In a young series between the teams (CU first played A&M in 1995), the Aggies have won only once in Boulder, in 1997. The Buffs lead the series 5-3.

FYI: In eight games this season, CU’s opponents on their opening drive of the game have scored 34 points, with four TDs and two field goals.

Coachspeak: “That’s all you can ask of these guys, not that they won’t make mistakes. They’re going to make mistakes, but when they do, they’re going to fix them and put them behind them and move forward.” — A&M coach Mike Sherman, on the Aggies’ turnaround.
