PARIS — Prosecutors said Wednesday that they will not appeal a judge’s decision ordering former French President Jacques Chirac to stand trial in an alleged corruption case that predated his presidency.
Chirac, 76, is accused of giving his friends sham jobs as advisers, paid for by city hall, when he was mayor of Paris.
