A slow-moving train and a semi collided about 6 a.m. Monday, taking out an Xcel power pole and snarling traffic on South Kalamath Street and West Bayaud Avenue, east of Interstate 25, for about 3 1/2 hours.

The collision caused several traffic lights to fail, police spokesman Sonny Jackson said.

No one was hurt.

The rear trailer section of the truck was hit by the train. The truck driver was ticketed. Kieran Nicholson, The Denver Post
