Jack Benedick of Golden and Sarah Will of Edwards have been named to the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame.

Benedick, who lost both legs from the Vietnam War, was one of the pioneers of adaptive skiing and won a silver medal in the 1984 Paralympic Games. Will, who was paralyzed in a 1988 skiing accident, won 12 medals in four Paralympic Games.

They, along with Chris Waddell of Park City, Utah, will be the first adaptive ski legends to be inducted into the national hall of fame since Diana Golden was named in 1997.

Other inductees include deceased extreme skier Doug Coombs, Stu Campbell, Ansten Samuelstuen, Sepp Kober and Paul Robbins.
