DENVER—Colorado state Sen. Dan Gibbs has decided not to run for another term next year.
The Summit County Democrat announced on Monday he will be seeking election as Summit County commissioner in 2010.
Gibbs, who chairs the Senate Transportation Committee, says he believes he can help his constituents better at the local level than at the state level.
