Puscifer is another of Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan’s side projects, but unlike his main gig or the relatively straightforward A Perfect Circle, Puscifer is a multimedia music experiment that goes wherever its creator pleases (comedy, burlesque, etc.). Japandroids have one of the most gratingly trendy names in rock, but the Vancouver duo’s fuzzy, melodic nuggets are reminiscent of the best of ’90s indie pop. Sunday at the Larimer Lounge, with Florida buzz band Surfer Blood and local indie-punk quartet Eyes and Ears. $12.
