AIR FORCE ACADEMY — Evan Washington and Grant Parker combined for 33 points on 12-of-12 shooting to lead Air Force to a 95-77 win over Dickinson State in the first round of the Reggie Minton Classic at Clune Arena on Friday night.

The Falcons (2-0) will face Northern Colorado (4-0) in the tournament’s championship game tonight.

Air Force scored the first seven points of the game, but Dickinson State fought back with a 9-2 run to tie it. The Falcons responded with a 14-3 run and never looked back.

UNC 66, Texas Southern 62

AIR FORCE ACADEMY —Will Figures sank two free throws with 5.1 seconds left to seal a victory in the first round of the Reggie Minton Classic.

The Bears built a 13-point lead early in the second half, but the Tigers used a 15-3 run to close the gap to 46-45 with 11:55 remaining. Figures had 21 points to lead Northern Colorado.

Indiana St. 65, Colorado St. 60

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. —Sophomore Dwayne Lathan had team-leading totals of 18 points and nine rebounds as the Sycamores downed the Rams.

Harry Marshall scored 15 points for the Sycamores (3-1) in a game that was part of the inaugural Mountain West/Missouri Valley Challenge.

The Rams (2-2) were led by Dorian Green’s 18 points.

Women

Colorado 63, Illinois-Chicago 49

MINNEAPOLIS —Brittany Spears led three Buffs in double figures with 19 points in the first game of the Subway Classic hosted by Minnesota.

CU (2-0) started the game on an 8-2 run fueled by five points by Courtney Dunn, but led only 21-17 at halftime as the Flames (0-3) battled back.

Kelly Mullaney’s 3-pointer with 6:14 left in the game gave the Buffs a 47-40 lead.

Portland 73, Air Force 65

AIR FORCE ACADEMY —Raimee Beck scored 25 points and added 10 rebounds to lead the Falcons (1-3), but it wasn’t enough to beat the Pilots (1-2).

Arkansas-Little Rock 55, Northern Colorado 43

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Chastity Reed led the Trojans (1-1) with her second straight double-double (21 points and 10 rebounds). Courtney Stoermer had 21 points for UNC (0-2).
