Wyoming at Colorado State, noon, Friday, The Mtn.

For the record: Wyoming (5-6, 3-4 Mountain West) became the latest victim of No. 4 TCU’s rampage through the MWC in search of a BCS bid.

Streaking: Cowboys have a plus-six turnover margin for the season and forced four TCU turnovers.

Who’s hot: Mike Neuhaus forced two fumbles, recovering one, deflected a pass that was intercepted and posted five tackles.

Who’s not: The offense. Freshman QB Austyn Carta-Samuels managed 83 yards passing against TCU. Running back Brandon Stewart ran for 45 yards. Wyoming netted only 178 yards offense.

Key stat: TCU had 25 first downs to just five for Wyoming.

FYI: CSU could become just the third team without a Mountain West win and the first to lose eight league games in one season. Wyoming’s 2000 and 2001 teams each went 0-7 before the MWC expanded to include TCU as the ninth school. . . . The Cowboys will have a likely New Mexico Bowl invitation with a win. Wyoming was bowl eligible in 2006 but there weren’t enough bowls to go around for the MWC.

Coachspeak: “I think it would be a pretty good year if we can take care of business next week.” — Wyoming coach Dave Christiansen, after the loss to TCU
