Much of the Western Slope will be under a winter weather advisory for 24 hours starting midnight tonight as another round of snow moves into Colorado, according to the National Weather Service office in Grand Junction.
A trough of low pressure could leave behind up to 7 inches of new snow on much of the northern and central mountains. Higher elevations could see up to 8 inches, according to forecasters.
The metro region has a 20 percent chance of snow showers Monday, with a high near 43 and a low around 22 degrees, according to the forecast.
No significant snow accumulations are expected along the Front Range on Monday.
Temperatures should warm into the 50s under sunny or partly cloudy skies each day through the weekend, the Weather Service stated.
