ASPEN — Aspen resorts said it appears that the Thanksgiving holiday weekend will see crowds on par with last year.

The Aspen Chamber Resort Association said holiday weekend bookings would peak at about 40 percent Saturday night.

Thanksgiving is typically a slower time for tourism in Aspen.

Not all terrain in Aspen and Snowmass is open for skiing, and it’s much quieter than the heavy Christmas-to- New Year’s period.

Three of the next four weeks are tracking behind last year, however.
