LAKE LOUISE, ALBERTA — Vail’s Lindsey Vonn posted the fastest time in Wednesday’s training run for the Bombardier Lake Louise World Cup.

Vonn stood up before the finish line, yet her time of 1 minute, 52.30 seconds was better than Austrian Maria Holaus, who finished in 1:52.70. Holaus was fastest in Tuesday’s training run.

Andrea Fischbacher, also of Austria, was third in 1:52.76.

Races start Friday with a downhill, followed by a second downhill Saturday and a super-G on Sunday.
